Overview
ScreenKapp is designed with privacy at its core. Your recordings, your voice, and your camera feed belong to you. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your recorded content.
Data We Don't Collect
ScreenKapp operates entirely on your device. We have no access to:
- Your screen recordings, audio, or camera footage
- The content of your screen or applications
- Your annotations or drawings
- Any files saved to your computer
Data We May Collect
To improve ScreenKapp and ensure compatibility, we may collect minimal, anonymized data:
- App version and macOS version (anonymized, for compatibility)
- Crash reports (opt-in only, anonymized)
This data is never linked to your identity and cannot be used to reconstruct any recording or personal information.
Permissions
ScreenKapp requests the following macOS permissions to function:
- Screen Recording — to capture your screen, window, or selected region
- Microphone — to record voice narration alongside your screen
- Camera — to display your face in the picture-in-picture overlay
These permissions are managed entirely by macOS. You can revoke them at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Third-Party Services
ScreenKapp does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If we introduce optional cloud features in the future (such as link sharing), they will be clearly disclosed and opt-in only.
Local Storage
All recordings and settings are stored locally on your Mac. ScreenKapp saves files only to locations you explicitly choose.
Children's Privacy
ScreenKapp does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we collect virtually no personal data, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. For significant changes, we'll notify users through the app.
