Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ScreenKapp ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
License
ScreenKapp grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any macOS device you own or control, subject to these Terms. This license does not allow you to:
- Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, lease, or rent the App to third parties
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Your Content
ScreenKapp is a tool for creating screen recordings. All content you create — including video, audio, camera footage, and annotations — is entirely yours. We claim no ownership or rights over your recordings.
You are solely responsible for the content you record and how you distribute it. You agree not to use ScreenKapp to record content that violates the rights of others, including but not limited to copyright, privacy, or confidentiality obligations.
Responsible Use
You agree to use ScreenKapp in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate permissions to record any content, including:
- Obtaining consent from individuals whose likeness or voice may be captured
- Complying with local recording and wiretapping laws
- Respecting the intellectual property rights of content visible on your screen
- Following your employer's policies regarding screen recording of proprietary systems
Early Access
ScreenKapp is currently available free of charge during its Early Access period. During this time, features may change, and the App may contain bugs. We provide the App "as is" without warranty of any kind during Early Access.
We reserve the right to introduce pricing, modify features, or discontinue the Early Access program at any time with reasonable notice to users.
Disclaimer of Warranties
ScreenKapp is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenKapp and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, recordings, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Updates
We may release updates to the App from time to time. While we recommend keeping ScreenKapp up to date for the best experience and security, updates are not mandatory. Some features may require a minimum App version to function.
Termination
You may stop using ScreenKapp at any time by uninstalling the App. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or on our website.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
